Embrace the Gong

The name “Chant & Chai” was born out of Susan Tauster’s practice of and dedication to Kundalini Yoga. In addition to postures which incorporate movement – to facilitate energy flow and balance of the chakras – she and her students frequently chant during classes. A tuning-in mantra, closing mantra and often a kriya or meditation that involves chanting are a part of every session.

The vibratory experience one achieves through chanting (the use of mantra – sound current) is truly transformational. Complementing this vibratory experience is the long-standing Kundalini Yoga tradition of introducing a Gong meditation to the practice. Typically done in conjunction with Savasana (deep relaxation or corpse pose), the Gong resonates with individuals and the group on deep level. Learn more here.

The communal sharing of a cup of Yogi Tea® after many Kundalini workshops led Susan to create “Chant & Chai.” She loves the alliterative sound of it, and feels it truly represents the spirit of her mission: to bring Kundalini Yoga, chanting, and the healing vibrations of the Gong to the greater community.

Join her for a regular Kundalini Yoga class, extended Gong mediation or workshop, and immerse yourself in a restorative environment. Susan is also available for groups/organizations, so please contact her to learn more about introducing this special experience to an even broader community.
